We recieved a call asking if we covered the Shaftesbury area to help save this stunning parquet floor....absolutely! after the new fireplace had been installed our parquet restoration team came in. Before the sanding could be started we cut in the reclaimed blocks we had sourced (perfect match) to a cork expansion strip that we use for features to allow a little movement during different times of the year.
We collected the dust from the sanding process mixed with our resin to fill all the gaps before a final buff with the Bona flexi sand. Applying bona prime classic follwed by two coats of Bona traffic HD with the floor buffed between coats.
A large Farm house just off the A30 towards Shaftesbury. This Herringbone parquet had been installed about 10 years ago but was now looking a little tired, it had also survived a flood, this meant that it required some extra filling due to a few gaps that had opened up during the drying out process, the finished result........as good as new.
This Dining area had a wall taken down leaving half the room with concrete and the other half with this lovely pine parquet. We had to remove 25mm of concrete and apply a levelling compound creating a new flat surface at the correct height to receive the reclaimed blocks, a liquid DPM was applied to prevent any future moisture problems.
We sourced some old reclaimed Parquet flooring from a studio in London, they were a good match and really pulled the room together once it had been sanded and seal.
