These reclaimed parquet pine blocks were supplied by a customer who had purchesed an old school and were in the process of renovating/extending the building. having reclaimed the blocks from an old school we cleaned all the bitumen off and re-installed them. They were very uneven and it did required a very tough sanding, as you can see from the pictures below it was completely worth the man hours. This floor was finished with Bona clasic followed by two coats of Bona Taffc HD with the floor buffed between coats. This job look 7 days to complete.
This 1960's parquet floor not only had lots of repairs it had been stained a colour that the home owner did'nt like. We advised that we could sort all the repairs by removing some blocks from an old cupboard so they would match the rest.
Sanding a patch of the floor allowed us to apply some samples making sure we could achieve the lighter more neutral colour - the choice was Bona Natural.
