**TERMS AND CONDITIONS SANDING AND SEALING**

**1. Acceptance of Terms**

By engaging with Salisbury Wood Floors, hereafter referred to as "the Company," you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Company.

**2.Scope of Work: **

The company agrees to sand and finish timber flooring as detailed in the estimate or agreement provided to the client.

Any additional services or materials not specified in the initial agreement will require written approval and a separate agreement.

**3. Estimates and Pricing**

All estimates provided by the Company are based on the information provided and are subject to change. Estimates are valid for a specified period and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

**4. Site Readiness**

The client shall ensure that the site/area is accessible and clear of any obstacles that may hinder the progress of the work. Any wet works (such as plastering) or other construction activities that might impact the sanding and finishing should be concluded and thoroughly dried before the scheduled date provided by the Company. In instances where the work outlined in the estimate cannot be executed and completed on the agreed date due to site conditions, a charge of £250, including VAT, shall be payable.

**5. Room Clearance**

The client shall ensure that all rooms where work will be conducted are completely cleared, including existing floor coverings, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to clear the rooms as required will result in an additional charge for clearance services and delays caused. We will take no responsibility for any damage caused to furniture/fittings/obstacles left in the working area, even if agreed in writing.

**6.Inspection and Approval: **

We advise the client to be available on the day of completion to inspect and approve the finished floor.

Payment of the remaining balance will be due strictly upon the completed work outlined in estimate.

**7. Deposit**

Upon acceptance of the estimate, a deposit amounting to 50% of the total project cost is required to secure materials and reserve the project date. Payment of the deposit indicates the client's acceptance of the estimate and agreement to the provided terms and conditions.

**8.Completion Timeline: **

The company will make reasonable efforts to complete the project within the agreed timeline. However, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays, and the client acknowledges this possibility.

**9. Booking and Payment**

The remaining balance of the project cost is due upon completion of the services. We accept payment through methods indicated on our website or communicated during the booking process.

**10. Cancellation and Rescheduling**

Cancellation or rescheduling of services must be communicated with at least two weeks notice proir to works commencing. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a forfeiture of the deposit. The Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if appropriate notice is not given.

**11. Liability and Warranty**

The Company endeavors to restore floors to the highest possible finish. However, please be aware that certain stains may be deeply ingrained in the wood fibers and might not be fully removed. Wood exhibits natural variations in color and tones, and newly installed or replacement boards might differ in appearance from existing boards, although they usually blend in over time.

**12. Ownership of Materials**

Materials supplied by the Company (Salisbury Wood Floors Ltd) remain our property until the final balance has been settled.

**13. Gap Filling and Natural Effects**

Gap filling in wood floors can be influenced by fluctuations in temperature or humidity, potentially causing gaps to reappear or the filler to drop out. Clients are advised to consider these possibilities when choosing gap filling options.

**14. Subfloor Condition**

The Company cannot be held responsible for the condition of the subfloor and its impact on the newly sanded and sealed floor.

**15. Parquet Blocks and Dust Extraction**

Sanding parquet blocks carries a small risk of loosening them, which could result in additional work and cost for stabilization. Our dust extraction system aims to capture 98% of the produced dust.

**16. Finish Drying Period**

After the application of lacquer, the floor should not be walked on for a minimum of 4 hours (subject to general atmospheric conditions). Heavy furniture should not be placed on the floor for a minimum of 72 hours, or 12 hours if Bona Traffic lacquer has been utilized at an additional cost. For floors treated with Osmo hard wax oil, please allow a minimum of 24 hours before light use and avoid placing heavy furniture for at least 72 hours. We cannot be responsible for airborne contamination that settles on the surface before it has dried, for example hair or insects

**17. Additional Services or Materials**

Any additional services or materials requested by the client beyond the initial agreement will require specific written agreement and may incur extra charges. The client will be charged per man hour plus materials used as outlined in the estimate provided or informed of any cost adjustments before proceeding with the additional work.

**18. Health and Safety**

The client must ensure a safe working environment for the installation team, and all necessary safety precautions and guidelines should be followed during the installation process. The company shall not be liable for any accidents or injuries that occur on the client's premises during the installation.

**19.Pictures and Social media**

Pictures of our works carried out may be shared accross social media platforms. No data, names or addresses will be included. If you have any concerns or would like to opt out of this process please inform us.

**20. Governing Law**

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
